Kim and Simone Axmann, owners and managers of two organically run farms located in the Morogoro Region of Tanzania, have been growing herbal teas and spices since 1993. As investors in the agricultural sector their primary goal has been to produce healthy food in an environmentally sound project.
Kimango Farms main crops include chili, moringa, lemongrass, and hibiscus, which are exported to the European health food markets and sell locally under the “African Infusions” label. The farms are certified organic according to EU and US (NOP) regulations. Meanwhile the project has developed beyond farming and also offers opportunities for eco-tourists and investors interested in a rural lifestyle.
